A guide to sharing browser logs

One of the most valuable diagnostic tools is the browser console, a part of the browser where information about the web page's operation is logged. This guide is designed to assist you in accessing and sharing these logs. By enabling specific levels of logs in your browser console, you can provide crucial information to our support team that can help diagnose and fix any issues you're experiencing. Follow the steps below for your specific browser to enable and view these logs.

Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge

  1. Right-click on your web page and select "Inspect" or use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+I (or Cmd+Option+I on Mac) to open the Developer Tools.

  2. Navigate to the "Console" tab.

  3. Right next to the "Filter" input field at the top, you will see a dropdown labeled "Default levels". Click on this dropdown.

  4. In the drop-down menu, deselect all except "Verbose" and "Errors". This will display both verbose and error logs.

  5. After the logs have appeared, take a screenshot (you can use Ctrl+PrtScn on Windows or Cmd+Shift+3 on Mac), or right-click within the console, select 'Save as...', and save the log file on your computer.

  6. Attach the screenshot or log file when contacting the support team.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Right-click on your web page and select "Inspect Element" or use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+I (or Cmd+Option+I on Mac) to open the Developer Tools.

  2. Navigate to the "Console" tab.

  3. In the toolbar at the top of the console, you'll find several buttons labeled with log levels: "Errors", "Warnings", "Logs", "Info", "Debug". Make sure only "Errors" and "Debug" are selected.

  4. After the logs have appeared, take a screenshot (you can use Ctrl+PrtScn on Windows or Cmd+Shift+3 on Mac), or right-click within the console, select 'Export visible messages to', and save the log file on your computer.

  5. Attach the screenshot or log file when contacting the support team.

Safari

  1. First, ensure that the Develop menu is available. If it's not, go to Safari -> Preferences -> Advanced, then check the box at the bottom that says "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

  2. Right-click on your web page and select "Inspect Element" or go to Develop -> Show Web Inspector.

  3. Navigate to the "Console" tab.

  4. You'll find several buttons labeled with log levels: "All", "Errors", "Warnings", "Logs", "Info", and "Debug". Safari only allows one of these to be selected at a time.

  5. First, select "Errors". Once the error logs have appeared, take a screenshot (you can use Cmd+Shift+3 on Mac), or select all logs (Cmd+A), copy (Cmd+C), and paste them into a document file on your computer.

  6. Next, select "Debug" (equivalent to Chrome's "Verbose" level) and repeat the above step.

  7. Attach the screenshots or document file when contacting the support team.
